How to Choose the Right Stretch Film for Pallet Wrapping

The right stretch film keeps a pallet stable from your warehouse to the buyer's door while using as little material as possible. Choosing it well starts with three variables: film thickness, pre-stretch ratio and core size.
Film thickness and pre-stretch
Thicker is not always better. A quality 7-layer co-extrusion film can match the holding force of a heavier single-layer film at a lower gauge, because its layers combine cling, puncture resistance and elongation. Matching the pre-stretch ratio to your machine lets one roll wrap more pallets and lowers the cost per load.
Core size and machinery
Machine film and hand film use different core sizes and roll weights. Tell us your wrapping equipment, load type and transport distance, and we will recommend a specification — clear or color-coded, standard or reinforced — produced to your exact size and thickness.
